I have to admit I am one of the Members expressing a negative view as to the Norridgewolk flyin.
My reason is that it becomes nothing more than a static display with the BIG boys letting us use their airspace when they get fed up or have no one to fly but as soon as a member starts a motor the want us down. Now do not get me wrong I enjoyed the company of fellow members met a lot of new people and learned a heck of a lot just sitting around shooting the *hit. Maybe that is what it is about for me though the flying (and looking for mufflers in the long grass)is just as important. If we can not display our skills ( or lack of them as in my case) it is one side of the hobby ALL the visitors Miss out on.
A suggestion should we be invited (I see this is in doubt) is that we have some one maybe the safety officer be in constant contact with the tower (a radio maybe). That way we could fit in better with their program!!!!

Personally, I enjoyed the time that I was present. Sat until after lunch, as I recollect. Nice to see the large number of members and the display of aircraft. This was my first time at the event.
I noticed that some of the full size aircraft didn't land much better that some of us do! "Scraped floats!!"
JMHO,
Joe
