silent Eagle yep a bird From Bob to a Roaring gas Job of Art's , Bobs Eagle may have been quiet But the Loon did not like it :) All in all a real good morning, I dunked the solo But she flew again ok and then better when we went to Whispering Pines in the afternoon, Got the ugly stick up and away for several flights, the OS 4 stroke ran like a dream, I was having a blast learning to fly again, Had to bring it in a lot hotter than the trainer and fly the aircraft constantly not like the trainer at all, loop's roll's spins all sorts of neat stuff but I got disorientated one mistake too low and put her into the tree's.Smashed the wing too pieces BUT went home with a smile on my face,Started to build a new wing and can not wait to get her up in the WILD blue yonder again <br time and if it works why fix it???. Yep thats the same aircraft that got dunked at least twice last year, wandered of through the tree's and broke it's tail off twice,She has a new motor though, lost so much power from the front bearing(and Fuel)that I retired "Old faithful"and polished her up for the wall. Will try to get a Das Stick ready too but can not promise due to work schedules, Anyway thats the news from here Happy landings

New setup

sitting out here in OH waiting for oversize permit, and got bored so I decided to change templates. I have another Idea some thing I would be happy to organize and sponsor (a small prize unless I can con other people).
It would be a HUFO That is a Humorous Unidentified Flying object. Now you have to let YOUR indignations run riot it HAS to be funny and FLY (take off and land) You have to at least assemble(from a kit)the object. If you can con a test pilot they may fly it(sorry Wayne and Bob you may be busy )We could kick this idea around. Now do not get me wrong I enjoyed the company of fellow members met a lot of new people and learned a heck of a lot just sitting around shooting the *hit. Maybe that is what it is about for me though the flying (and looking for mufflers in the long grass)is just as important. If we can not display our skills ( or lack of them as in my case) it is one side of the hobby ALL the visitors Miss out on.
A suggestion should we be invited (I see this is in doubt) is that we have some one maybe the safety officer be in constant contact with the tower (a radio maybe). That way we could fit in better with their program!!!!

Flight Sim

Ok so I shelled out a LITTLE money for another simulator, when it came home I found out it was the first version ( I thought it was G2) of Great Planes, It's far better than the FMS More realistic in flight, Any one have early copy's of add on's I might borrow?

thank you

Hi Guys, Thank you for the office of treasurer. I was able to set up the three mixes last night in about 15 mins thanks to the servo position display on the DX7. Fantastic device! Isn't technology wonderful!!

Anyway, when I activate the mixes with a switch, the left motor will speed up for a right turn and right for a left turn. How much speedup depends on how much I move the rudder left or right. This morning, I connected all the motors, receiver and battery and tested with a tach. Works GREAT! Up to about 1800 rpm speedup with present settings. I may have to adjust the mixes after I find out how much differential is really needed.

Also looks like normal max throttle prop speed is the same on both. Shouldn't cause any trim issues. Don't know what would happen at speed if differential steering was turned on!

Those two little motors deliver 250+ watts on a half discharged battery spinning MA 6x4-3 blade props!

Happy Thanksgiving!

Joe

ps Added a photo per Ken's request.
